What if Keb’ Mo’ joined Otis Redding’s band and brought his buddy on flute and harmonica? This is 13 Scotland Rd.

13 Scotland Rd play a soul-stirring blend of original acoustic roots, blues and R&B. They are based in Portland, Maine. 

The core of the band is songwriter Bill Binford (vocals, acoustic guitar, dobro, composer) and Aaron Seglin (vocals, harmonica, wooden flute, percussion). Originally from South Orange, New Jersey, Bill and Aaron have been playing in Portland, Maine since 2014. 

In 2025, the band performed at The Leavitt Theater, Amigos, Wander at Longwoods, and The Thirsty Pig; all in Maine. Other gigs included The Sap House Meadery in Ossipee, NH and The Commodore Grill and The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. 

They were selected to perform at Sofar Sounds’ launch show in Portland. Sofar Sounds is the global live concert series known for hosting, intimate secret shows in unexpected venues.

Bill’s warm personality and Aaron’s beautiful smile charm every audience they play for. After success in New Jersey and Seattle, they are rebuilding their draw in Maine. 

13 Scotland Rd can play as a duo or as a trio with electric guitar. Add electric bass and you have a full quartet. Their shows last from one to three hours and consist mostly of originals. 

13 Scotland Rd is always written as “13 Scotland Rd” There is no period after “Rd” and the word “Road” is never written out.
